What we do...
We offer a compassionate euthanasia service in the familiarity of your own home. We take things slowly to give you and your pet time to be comfortable with us. We always provide sedation for your pet prior to the final injection, so that they do not feel any pain or distress. We include this in our euthanasia costs, as it is important to us that the visit is peaceful and comfortable.
We are happy to provide advice to help you make your decision. We are available by phone, most days a week. Please see the home page for dates that we are not available. If we are not able to answer immediately please leave a message and we will phone you back as soon as possible. Alternatively you can email us at any time.
Choosing to euthanase is one of the hardest decisions for any pet owner to make. We are here to make the process as easy as possible. Being able to say goodbye in your own home, can reduce some of the stress and anxiety at this difficult time.
If you wish, after euthanasia, we can organise cremation for your pet. Alternatively you can make your own arrangements.
We do not offer any other veterinary services.
What to expect...
We will have an initial phone consultation to discuss your individual situation and answer any questions you may have. If you decide go ahead, we can then arrange a time that is convenient for you and your family. We fully explain the process and advise on ways to prepare. There is further information on our preparation page.
We require you to sign a consent form which we will bring with us. The form can also be downloaded here if you prefer to fill it out before we arrive.
It is important that you are comfortable with what is happening with your pet, so please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
Anyone or any other pets that you wish to be present are welcome. Please make sure that they arrive prior to our appointment time.
When you are ready we will administer a sedative under the skin, this will allow your pet to relax. We always give a sedative prior to the final injection, to ensure that your pet’s passing is calm and peaceful. Once they are very relaxed or asleep we will give the final injection.
What happens afterwards...
We will give you time with your pet to say your goodbyes. If you wish us to organise cremation for you, then we will take your pet with us when we leave. Their ashes will be delivered back to your home or they will be ready to collect from the crematorium in 1-2 weeks usually. We will advise you if a home delivery service is available for your pet's ashes.
