As soon as I reached out to the team at Our Pet's Goodbye and connected with Nic, I was meet with genuine compassion and care. At the time I reached out I wasn’t sure if I needed their services, but it became apparent within 24hrs that I needed to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. My baby girl was sick, sad and in pain and I knew she was tired and suffering.

As soon as Nic walked into our backyard she had an air of calm, a calm in a storm that had been our week. Both me and my baby girl had been battling for days trying to get her back to health, but it wasn’t working. Nic sat with us on the damp grass outside and calmly explained the process; there was never any rush and at each step of the process she made sure all of us were ok. We had time to say our goodbye peacefully and our baby girl got to go on her long sleep in her bed surrounded by love and the comfort and safety of her home. It’s was peaceful and a final gift I was able to give our precious girl. Although the grief was just starting for us, she was no longer in pain and suffering, and I’ll be forever grateful for the kindness, respect and genuine care I felt on one of my hardest days! Thank you Nic.

I’d also like to add my thanks to the thoughtful team at Gentle Waters crematorium, who also showed us patience, humility and genuine care. Leaving Lollie with you was so incredibly hard but that was eased by your transparency, respect and care you showed us. The little touches like playing her favourite song while she was being cremated and the room set up so thoughtfully for us to spend time with her and say goodbye all made the difference! I hope it will be a long time until I have to use your services again, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone that needs it!

If you have the capacity to gift a goodbye like this to your best ever fur friend, don’t hesitate, it’s worth it. It was also nice knowing in our time of need we're supporting local female-owned businesses that really have a point of view of what end of life care should like for our animal family and friends. Thank you again to all that were involved within the process of us saying our last goodbye to our precious Lollie Pop.
